At the age of 27, Klee married a pianist, Lili Stumpf, and
remained settled in Munich, very much a center at that time
for avante-garde art. At the age of 32, he joined The Blue
Rider, an expressionist art group founded that same year
in 1911 by his friends Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc,
and August Macke. It was with The Blue Rider that he first
exhibited his etchings in 1912.

Klee had a revelation at Tunisia.
