ENROLLMENT IN THE CLASS IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY. THE STUDENT MUST NOTIFY THE REGISTRAR OF ANY AND ALL CHANGES OF ENROLLMENT.
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE AT THE BEGINNING OF LAB. THE COLLEGE AND DEPARTMENT REQUIRE ATTENDANCE AT ALL LABORATORY ACTIVITIES. A STUDENT WHO MISSES LAB WILL LOSE 5 POINTS.
THIS IS A COLLEGE CLASS. IT IS EXPECTED THAT YOU WILL NEED TO DEVOTE 3 HOURS FOR EVERY CLASS UNIT, 18 HOURS A WEEK! FOR AN AVERAGE GRADE. FOR A BETTER GRADE, IT IS EXPECTED THAT YOU NEED TO DEVOTE MORE TIME.
GRADES WILL BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING POINT SYSTEM:
| Quizzes | | | ________ | Grade | |
| Labs | | | . | . | . |
| Discussions | | | 900 - 1000 | ||
| Case Studies | | | . | 800 - 899 | |

* Note: Have the instructor sign off at the Table of Contents (TOC) in the space provided at the end of the entry after you finished the lab. If you do not have this signature, you will be docked for a short shift!
** Note:You should prepare your notebook before coming to class. during the lab you should require no other documents or papers on you table except your notebook and the fill -in worksheets, if so provided (See below)..

CLASS RECORDS
Note: This class notebook is your grade documentations. The scores on returned work should be entered into your tally sheet. If your tally dose not match the instructors, you need to present the original work in your notebook, with the original score on it, to the instructor to document the discrepancy.
THIS COURSE UTILIZES A VARIETY OF INSTRUCTIONAL PARADIGMS. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO FORM STUDY GROUPS/TEAMS (For discussion) AND TO WORK COOPERATIVELY WITH YOUR LAB PARTNERS. TEAM-WORK IS ENCOURAGED AND IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU BE A TEAM PLAYER.
YOU MUST ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE IN THE WHOLE LABORATORY EXERCISE IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR NOTEBOOK SIGNED OFF AND TO BE ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT A LAB REPORT! EACH OF YOU MUST TURN IN YOUR OWN COPY OF EACH ASSIGNMENT.
YOU SHOULD INCLUDE THE NAMES OF YOUR PARTNERS UNDER YOUR NAME AT THE TOP OF THE PAPER; ONLY THE TOP NAME WILL BE CREDITED FOR EACH AND ANY PAPER TURNED IN. ANY PAPER THAT DOES NOT CONTAIN A HANDWRITTEN SCORE IN YOUR CLASS RECORD BOOK HAS NOT BEEN CREDITED TO YOUR POINT COUNT!(This procedure is required to ensure that you have the graded assignment in your RECORD book, as per Class Notebook protocol.)
LABEL AND COLOR ALL DIAGRAMS BEFORE SUBMISSION - ALL PAPERS/EXERCISES ARE ONLY EVALUATED ONCE. The last chance to turn in assignments or other work must be postmarked by May 6 or in the lab by May 14. All work will be returned the meeting before the final. To obtain a final you must turn-in your up-to-date notebook and record book, with tally sheet. You are not eligible to obtain a copy of the final until you have completed this requirement.
CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED -
EXAMS, QUIZZES, AND FINAL, ARE AN INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY!
CHEATING WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF THE EXAM AND POINTS FOR THE EXAM!
BOOKS ARE TO BE LEFT CLOSED AND OFF THE TABLE DURING ALL OF THE EXAMS -
"DRY" LAB REPORTS ARE NOT PERMITTED,
Quizzes will cover all of the material since the previous quiz. The final will
be cumulative and comprehensive.
Note: Due to the nature of the course and time constraints there will be NO MAKE UP QUIZ! The lowest quiz score will be dropped. This allows you one missed quiz. Quizzes are available on the internet for a limited amount of time. Quizzes are timed, once you start a quiz, you must finish it within the allocated time (typically 1 hour). If you exit a quiz early, the grade you obtain will be recorded, you cannot reenter a quiz! If you take longer than allocated time, you will be cut off and receive a score of zero! This is how the program operates, no exceptions.
